Born and raised in the gritty yet vibrant neighborhood of North Philadelphia, Theodore Ingram, better known by his stage name Teddy McCray, always had a deep love for music.
Growing up, Teddy was surrounded by the sounds of the 60's via many genres of contemporary tunes, which created a diverse musical foundation for him to develop his own style.
Teddy was immersed in a household where music was a powerful means of storytelling. His four brothers’ lyrical prowess painted vivid pictures of their shared experiences, and for a long time, this satisfied his creative urges.
This led to Teddy deciding it was time to tell his own story. Teddy's musical style coined "rap singing," which is adapted from some of yesterdays rap icons who incorporated vocals mixed with R&B music to give that bounce.
